The Silver Ball Planet

The Silver Ball Planet (Osaka, Japan) is a truly special place. Pinball never quite took off in Japan the way it did in the west, so tables are rare and places to actually play even more so. TSBP is located in America-mura, a kind of USA-themed district in Osaka that has a lot of vintage clothing, bars, and clubs. Inside you'll find a living museum of pinball history - electromechanical games from all eras, a big projector playing documentary footage, and even some amazing fan-made pamphlets explaining strategies and mechanics. It's hard to over-state the level of care and love oozing from every corner of this place. Make a point to check it out if you're in the area and give yourself a couple of hours to properly enjoy it.
